In this article, we'll go over the accuracy of the different scans Caller ID Reputation has to offer.
Overview
While Caller ID Reputation strives to be as accurate as possible, we cannot fully guarantee the accuracy of our scan results. We understand the importance of full transparency into your businesses' outbound calls, that's why we're working to add new features and data providers everyday.
Database/Spam List Results
To obtain scan results from our number intelligence providers, Caller ID Reputation relies on some third-party data agreements to access results. These scans are our most accurate, as they rely on the least amount of variables.
Device Cloud Results
Device cloud results are reported by real, in-house iOS and Android devices on all four major US carriers. Instead of utilizing a leased device farm, Caller ID Reputation takes a different approach. Our farms are hosted at our offices and other environments directly supervised by our engineers.
Online Device Cloud Regions:
- California
- Ohio
- Texas
- Florida
- Georgia
There are many variables which may affect the device cloud results you see in our system. If a test call is received in a different region than your customers, there's a chance it may result in flag discrepancies. With many carrier authorities now implementing time dependent flags, a flag could expire by the time a previously flagged DID reaches a customer. Flags which expire in the hours before scans are run could also be omitted in scan results shown in our system.
Some other factors include:
- Platform
- Carrier
- Network congestion
- Local tower conditions

RoboKiller Results
In RoboKiller scan results, Caller ID Reputation displays a link to check your phone number's public reputation report on RoboKiller's lookup site. Many flags issued by RoboKiller are not publicly displayed on RoboKiller's lookup site. This limits TelTech's liability for erroneous flags. Caller ID Reputation holds a data access agreement with RoboKiller's parent company, TelTech, which grants us access to flags that aren't shown publicly on RoboKiller's lookup site. This usually results in RoboKiller flags showing in our system while being hidden from public/search engine view.
